ADM TREE SERVICES, LLC
Tree Service in Purcellville, VA
Purcellville sits where western Loudoun’s residential neighborhoods meet working farmland and wooded acreage, and tree work here reflects that mix. A quarter-acre lot in town and a ten-acre parcel toward the Blue Ridge are entirely different jobs, and both are common in this market. Properties out here also tend to have more standing timber, more field edge growth, and more distance between the house and the nearest utility pole.
ADM Tree Services, LLC has served Purcellville and western Loudoun for over 20 years. The owner is on-site for every job.
What Tree Work Looks Like in Purcellville
Larger lots and acreage
Purcellville’s residential footprint gives way quickly to larger parcels. That changes the work considerably. Removals happen farther from structures, which sometimes allows conventional felling rather than sectional dismantling. Wooded property lines need managing. Field edges grow in if left alone, and reclaiming them is a regular request out here in a way it is not closer to the county’s eastern side.
Storm exposure
Western Loudoun catches weather coming off the Blue Ridge before the rest of the county does. Wind events reach this area with more force, and the open terrain around many Purcellville properties means less buffering from surrounding structures. Trees standing alone in open ground carry more wind load than the same tree in a dense neighborhood canopy, and they fail differently.
Older rural canopy
Much of the tree cover around Purcellville predates the surrounding development, including old field trees, fence line growth, and mature hardwoods that have never been maintained. These trees often carry significant deadwood, poor structure from decades without pruning, and included bark at major unions. They tend to need more work than their appearance suggests.
Access and equipment
Long driveways, soft ground, gravel access, and gated fields all affect what equipment can reach a tree. On larger Purcellville properties, access is often the biggest factor in how a job is approached and what it costs. We assess this during the on-site estimate rather than discovering it on the day of the work.
Areas We Work In
We work throughout Purcellville and the surrounding western Loudoun area, including the town proper and the neighborhoods off Main Street and 21st Street; Locust Grove, Mayfair, and the established residential communities; the acreage and farm properties along Route 7, Route 690, and Silcott Springs Road; and the wooded parcels toward Round Hill, Hillsboro, and the Blue Ridge foothills.

Our Services in Purcellville
Tree removal
Hazardous, dead, and unwanted trees removed using the approach the site allows, from open-ground felling on acreage to sectional dismantling near structures. Details on our tree removal services page.
Tree Trimming
Clearance work, canopy reduction, and storm risk trimming, which matters more in this area given the wind exposure. See our tree trimming services page.
Tree Pruning
Deadwood removal and structural correction, particularly relevant on Purcellville’s older, unmaintained rural canopy. More on our tree pruning services page.
Stump grinding
Grinding below grade with surface roots handled. Details on our stump grinding services page.
Emergency tree service
24/7 response for storm damage and fallen trees, which Western Loudoun Residents share. Our emergency tree service page covers what to expect, and if a tree is currently on a structure, our guide on what to do when a tree falls on your house walks through the first steps.
Land clearing and forestry mulching
Reclaiming overgrown field edges, clearing building sites, and managing wooded sections of larger parcels. Forestry mulching is often the right approach on acreage because it handles dense growth without hauling debris off a large property. See our land clearing services page.
Permits and Property Considerations
Purcellville is an incorporated town, so town regulations apply within its limits rather than the rules governing unincorporated Loudoun County. Properties outside town limits fall under county requirements. Most residential removals on private property do not require a permit in either case. Still, land-disturbing work above certain thresholds and properties near streams or within Resource Protection Areas can trigger additional requirements.
On larger parcels, confirm work near property lines before it begins. If the trees in question sit on or near a boundary, our guide on cutting a neighbor’s overhanging branches covers what Virginia law allows.

I had a great experience with ADM in 2013, so I turned to them first when I had a big job this week. I called Monday to get an estimate. Three hours later an ADM representative arrived. He was a great communicator. We discussed the job and within 30 minutes he gave me an estimate that I thought was more than reasonable, far less than expected, to remove five trees over 50 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet from telephone wires. I agreed and they had a crew at my house, right on time, at 8:30 the next morning. It was amazing to watch their crew work, true professionals. They were clear about what they would do and how long they would take. They left our property pristine I couldn’t be happier.Posted on Google![]()

ADM was fantastic from start to finish! The quote from Adan was right there with other quotes I received. Got the quote Wednesday and the next Tuesday the crew was here on time, very polite, and communicative. They went over everything with me before they started as we walked my property. They did exactly what I wanted and did an excellent job on clean up. The crew were all very nice and are professionals that know their job and do it well. It was almost 100 degrees and it didn't slow the guys down at all. We couldn't have picked a better company to do the work we needed. A+! We will be hiring ADM in the future for another tree trimming and removal.Posted on Google![]()

This amiable crew does it all when it comes to trimming, removal, and stumps, and at a very competitive price! It started with the timely arrival of their estimator, proceeded a week later with the crew rolling up right at the start of the day, and after much hard work they left our yards cleaner than when they started. They removed a good sized maple with their bucket truck, and climbed sky high to clean up our huge oak and dawn redwood. Their crew leader consulted with us throughout the day to get everything just right on 6 trees. They have done equally good work for our neighbors too.Posted on Google![]()

Could not have been happier with the price and service. Had a larger job on a farm including bringing down multiple trees, tree trimming and they even removed debris. Great communication through the whole process and outstanding results.Posted on Google![]()

ADM has done two separate jobs for us: trimming trees and removal of some bushes. Both times, they were punctual, personable, had competitive prices, did the job impeccably, and cleaned up completely. Highly recommend them for your landscaping needs!Posted on Google![]()

I needed some minor tree trimming done and of the tree service companies in the Leesburg area, I decided on ADM Tree Services. It was a good decision. The estimator was polite and friendly and didn't mind that my job was a small job and sent me an estimate that was very reasonable and affordable. I was surprised and happy! I immediately scheduled the service. The crew was prompt and their supervisor was personable and friendly. I was pleased with the results and will definitely use them again. Thank you ADM Tree Services!
Frequently Asked Questions About Tree Service in Purcellville
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Purcellville?
Within town limits, Purcellville’s own regulations apply rather than unincorporated Loudoun County rules. Outside town limits, county requirements govern. Most residential removals on private property do not require a permit in either case, though land-dis. However, work above certain thresholds and properties in Resource Protection Areas can have additional requirements.
Do you work on acreage and farm properties?
Yes. Larger parcels are a regular part of our work in this area, including field edge reclamation, wooded section management, and clearing for building sites. We assess access and ground conditions during the estimate, since both affect the approach.
What is forestry mulching and when does it make sense?
Forestry mulching grinds trees, brush, and undergrowth in place rather than hauling debris away, leaving a mulch layer that protects the soil. On larger Purcellville properties it is frequently the more practical option, since hauling material off acreage is slow and disruptive.
How quickly can you respond to storm damage in Purcellville?
We provide 24/7 emergency response throughout western Loudoun. Response times depend on storm volume and conditions, with priority going to trees on structures or blocking access.
Do you provide free estimates in Purcellville?
Yes. All estimates are free, performed on-site, and given in writing before work begins. On larger properties an on-site visit is especially important, since access and terrain significantly affect the approach.
